YUFE – Young Universities for the future of Europe

YUFE Studierende

What is YUFE?

YUFE is an alliance of young and innovative universities in Europe. Our goal is to establish a leading model for a young, non-elitist, open, and integrative European university whose research and teaching impresses with its quality and interdisciplinary thinking.

Students are represented in all YUFE committees and centrally included in all developments and decisions. On this basis, YUFE creates career paths and partnership projects with local non-university partners. YUFE is multilingual and supports continuous language training for students, teaching staff, researchers, and all those associated with the affiliated universities.

In addition, all YUFE universities are also closely connected with local business, politics, and society and bring these roots into the alliance.

YUFE is far more than just a university. Take a look for yourself!

What topics does YUFE focus on?

  • European Identity and Responsibilities in a Global World

YUFE stands for a unified and democratic Europe. We train our graduates to be responsibly thinking and acting European citizens. Teaching and research content is aligned with this goal and contributes to the dissemination of the European idea.

  • Citizens‘ Well-Being

YUFE contributes to a safe and prosperous society in Europe. Questions of social security, democracy research, and the assumption of social and global responsibility are just some of the topics we address in our research and teaching in order to contribute to a secure and sustainable design of European societies.

  • Digital Societies

Digitalization is increasingly influencing all areas of our life and is associated with opportunities but also challenges and risks. Shaping the opportunities and contributing to mastering the challenges through research and teaching is one of the tasks that YUFE has set itself.

  • Sustainability

Sustainability and climate protection are two of the great challenges facing global society. YUFE aims to find European answers to these questions and contribute to the sustainable shaping of our future.
