New impulses for teaching

As a factor of quality and success, good academic teaching has become a crucial element: a development that was substantially advanced by the Quality Pact Teaching.

The University of Bremen picked up on this development and has been able to steadily expand and improve training measures and continuing education in the area of university didactics.

The Office for University Didactics bundles such measures, organizes central workshops for all teaching faculty, and is the point of contact for all questions surrounding university didactics.

The office is in regular contact with thematically adjacent areas within the University of Bremen as well as with the university didactic institutions of other universities.

Owing to the close cooperation with the Central Administration Unit for Teaching and Learning, the Office of University Didactics is able to swiftly introduce and implement targeted new offers. At the same time, important impulses from the whole area of university didactics flow into the work of the unit, e.g. in the design of ongoing educational reform projects.

Certificate Program

The University of Bremen, together with the Universities of Oldenburg and Osnabrück, offers a nationally recognized certificate "University Didactic Qualification". More information is available only in German.

Coaching Program

For university teachers it is possible to take advantage of individual teaching coaching. For all teachers, an individual coaching is also offered for dealing with heterogeneous student groups. More information is available only in German.
