In a master's program, students acquire more in-depth knowledge of the subject they studied for their bachelor’s degree as undergraduates. Therefore, a bachelor's degree is always required for admission to the master's program. International students must also apply to the University of Bremen if they want to study in a master's program

International Students

International applicants must pay a lot of attention. The rules for the application depend on nationality and university-entrance diploma (German: Abitur). The following internet pages explain the process of applying for international students.

University places for Refugees

The HERE program offers persons who have been forced to leave their home country the possibility to attend preparatory studies at the universities in Bremen and Bremerhaven. The program provides prospective students with recognized residency status as refugees the fundamental linguistic and subject-specific knowledge they require in order to take up studies in Bremen.

IN-Touch is a program for academics who have fled their home country. As guests of the Bremen universities, they can remain in contact with the academic world and make themselves familiar with the German university system, regardless of their residence status.
