Science and technology for space applications are evolving rapidly and keep placing new challenges before us. This creates excellent new job opportunities for natural scientists and engineers. The international master’s program in Space Sciences and Technologies provides methods and tools to become part of this development. In the program we cover the areas sensing of data, their processing and communication all for satellites.
An excellent master's degree in Space Sciences and Technologies qualifies the holder for doctoral studies.
For inclusion in a master's degree is the completion of studies at the Bachelor's level requirement.

The program is application-oriented and provides knowledge in the fields of remote sensing, earth observation, retrieval theory, space electronics and communications. Students receive a solid hands-on training. Lectures in digital image processing as well design of digital systems provide advanced skills and methods in data processing. Methods of data transmission in communication networks complete the topics in the field of communications.
For specialization students choose one out of two subject-specific areas: Physics for Space Observation or Information Technologies for Space. In these areas students extend their knowledge to have a clear professional focus. In the laboratory practical course, students get the possibility to gain and improve practical skills.
Graduates have excellent job opportunities in Space Agencies, Space Industry and Research Institutes. Typical careers are pursued in the fields of satellite based measurements, earth observation, message transmission or navigation.
