Study description

Graduates of the master's program in industrial mathematics are able to mathematically model complex technical and scientific problems and to process and solve these problems with the help of such models and mathematical tools. Due to their interdisciplinary education, they are able to independently understand technical problems, develop efficient software to solve them, and they have strong skills in mathematical modeling and analysis. There is a high demand for professionals with these skills both in industry and academia.

From fall 2022 on, this Master's program will be replaced by the international Master of Science program Industrial Mathematics and Data Analysis, which will be taught in English. It will offer, among other things, offers the opportunity to specialize in one of the two mathematical areas, industrial mathematics or data analysis, according to individual and personal interests. Further information on the new Master's program can be found here and all details in the near future also here on this page.
