Study description

The substantive focus of the MA program in International Relations: Global Governance and Social Theory, which is offered jointly by the University of Bremen and the Jacobs University Bremen, is the analysis of governance beyond the nation state. This research topic is examined from a political science perspective, and within the context of enduring processes of globalization and increasing cross-border activity. Students will participate in a small, relatively specialized, and academically rigorous, all English degree program.

Please note that it is no longer possible to enroll in this program, which will be replaced by a new program by the name “International Relations: Global Politics and Social Theory”. The new MA International Relations, which will start in winter semester 2023/24, is offered by the University Bremen on its own. Information on the new program will be available on the DBS shortly. (For a description of its content and structure see also here.) Applications are accepted until 1 February 2023.
