Friday 12 April 2024 noon - 2 pm lecture, large lecture hall in the Keksdose building HS2010 2 pm - 3 pm practical fire drill, place outside behind the SFG-Building, Emmy-Noether-Straße Admission from 12 p.m., start at 12:15 p.m. The academic quarter does not apply to this event. Please arrive on time. Afterwards there will be a practical fire extinguishing exercise in the outside area behind the SFG-Building, place outside in the Emmy-Noether-Straße. April 2024 - 18:15 bis 19:45, Zoomveranstaltung Interesse an Mobilität und intensiven internationalem Austausch? - Du willst wissen, wie die Welt da draußen aussieht? - Du willst oder kannst nicht unbedingt überall hinfliegen? Mach mit bei uns - virtuell, also quasi klimaneutral, und hautnah, am Beispiel Südafrika. Wir gehen ins Gespräch mit einer Person aus Kapstadt, Südafrika, aus der sogenannten Coloured Community. Wir beleuchten Themen wie die südafrikanischen „cultures“ (ethnische Gruppen in Südafrika), Rassismus, Apartheit, Leben und Überleben, Sicherheit und Gewalt, die Situation der Frauen, Gesundheit, Gesundheitsversorgung, Ernährungssituation, Bildung und Chancen in Südafrika und südafrikanische Politik. Es geht nicht in erster Linie um Informationsvermittlung. Hier reden wir miteinander, bewegen uns aus der Komfortzone und machen einen Perspektivwechsel. Dabei sind genaues und wertschätzendes Zuhören und Fragestellen die wesentlichen Instrumente. Die Veranstaltungssprache ist englischsprachig – Du hast also die Gelegenheit, Deine Kenntnisse in der flüssigen Umgangssprache zu verbessern. Unsere Gesprächspartnerin lebt unterprivilegiert als Mitglied einer Township-Community, hat Apartheid, Machtwechsel und den Aufbruch hautnah und engagiert miterlebt.
