Several topics on applied numerical fluid mechanics will be introduced in the lecture. These topics are about modeling of turbulence flows, multi-phase flows, species transport and finite-rate chemistry, convection in porous media. A specific topic on numerical fluid mechanics will be given based on the interests of the students. The students will learn how to simulate flow problems using the open source CFD package, OpenFoam. The students will also know the up-to-date research work in numerical fluid mechanics. The lecture will be given in English.
