Collection of the 5 euro contribution increase by the Studentenwerk.
We hereby inform you about an increase in the Studentenwerk [Student Services] fee and the subsequent collection of 5 euro when re-enrolling for the coming summer semester or in the course of possible refunds following deregistration in the current winter semester.
With the re-enrollment / enrollment for the winter semester 2017/18, a student contribution of 70 euro (as part of the 321.42 € total semester contribution) was charged.
However, the Studentenwerkregulations were amended in the autumn of 2015, providing for a fee of 75 euro as of winter semester 2017/18.
The contribution regulations were approved by the Senator for Science, Health and Consumer Protection on 27.11.2015 and published in the Official Gazette of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen on 12.02.2016. The University of Bremen is therefore obliged to levy a charge in this amount from all students enrolled in the current winter semester.
In order that this reimbursement does not cause any unnecessary extra work, we will raise the 5 euro in the course of the re-enrollment process for the summer semester 2018. The re-enrollment fee for the summer semester is therefore 10 euro higher than the fee you paid for the winter semester and listed on the transfer slip of the Leporello.
If you leave the university in the winter semester 17/18, we will withhold the 5 euro from any refunds or duly contact you for payment.
When enrolling for the upcoming summer semester, you have to pay semester fees in the total amount of 331.42 euro.
