Intercultural Certificate

Certificate for Intercultural Competence - What is it?

You were or want to go abroad on your own initiative, you are enthusiastic about languages, you do volunteer work in the intercultural field or you attend lectures on intercultural topics?

The International Office of the University of Bremen appreciates and supports the acquisition of such competences and will therefore reward them by issuing a Certificate of Intercultural Competence. After all, intercultural competence is one of the key soft skills you need to be able to work successfully in international contexts, both professionally and privately.

The “Certificate of Intercultural Competence” can be issued to students who have participated in measures of intercultural training offered by the International Office and have completed two out of three elective modules. The modules can be completed over any number of semesters during your studies.

You can either use the extra-curricular offers to obtain an additional, meaningful certificate for your c.v. or have individual modules recognized for General Studies that count towards your degree.

Our certificate points are not binding CP information! Please clarify the exact regulations with your general studies supervisors.

We welcome any kind of questions, suggestions and ideas from you that help us to make the program exciting and varied!
