It is intended to recognize outstanding achievements and pioneering activities in the field of knowledge transfer, with a view to promoting the sustainable use of research findings. The first Outreach Award went to Dr. Thomas Barkowsky and students of Computer Science. Their DENCAI – DENgue CAse Investigation project aims to effectively combat dengue infections using an innovative software solution.
