Organizer: FB1, Kontakt: Prof. Dr. Karl-Ludwig Krieger
Location: NW1, Hörsaal H3
Begin: 18.09.2024, 11:30
End: 18.09.2024, 12:30

Presenter: Rachel E. Armstrong, OnePlanet Research Center / IMEC

Inviting Professor: Prof. Dr. Björn Lüssem

Abstract:

OnePlanet Research Center is a collaborative institute combining the micro/nano R&D research of Imec with the applied sciences of Wageningen University & Research, Radboud University, and Radboud University Medical Center. The “moonshot” project of OnePlanet, an ingestible smartpill, recently completed its first human trial.

This talk will discuss the trial and the electrochemical sensors integrated into the smartpill. The sensor development process from the lab to human trial will be described in more detail. In vivo participant data from the trial will be shown to highlight the potential of the smartpill for future applications in gut health monitoring and diagnosis.
