When coming from the A1, change at the Bremer Kreuz onto the A27 in the direction of Bremen-Bremerhaven. Leave the A27 at exit Universität / Horn-Lehe and drive in the direction of Centrum / Universität. 
Ample parking is available on the campus and in the University Technology Park. There is a charge for parking lots on the campus. The fee (0.70 euro per day) has to be paid at the entrance. You can pay in cash (have the right amount ready; not all machines give change) or with a money card.

The University of Bremen can be reached by bus and tram, provided by Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG ).
The site plan shows the location of stops in the campus area. Select a stop and you will be taken directly to the BSAG timetable with the chosen destination: Universität Süd, Universität/Zentralbereich, Universität Nord, Lise-Meitner-Str., Wiener Str. (Universität/Science Center), Celsiusstr., Wilhelm-Herbst-Str., Linzer Str.

The following lines stop at the University / central area: 6, 21, 22, 28, 31.

Plan your journey with the Deutsche Bahn to Bremen central station. Leave the station in direction south (city center). Taxis and street cars leave directly from the station forecourt. You pay about 15 euro for the onward journey to the University of Bremen. It is cheaper by street car: Take line 6 towards the University. You have the possibility to get off at the stops Universität Süd, Universität/Zentralbereich or at the terminus Universität Nord. You pay about 24 euro for the onward journey from Bremen airport (BRE) to the University of Bremen by taxi. Street car line 6 goes directly from the airport to the University. Semester Ticket

Who gets a Semester Ticket?

Students of the University of Bremen receive the Semester Ticket from the Verkehrsverbund Bremen-Niedersachsen (VBN). The costs are already included in the semester fee. The Semester Ticket is valid for any number of trips on all days. The VBN informs on where the semester ticket applies.

 

Who organizes the semester ticket?

The AStA of the University of Bremen negotiates with the transport companies about the costs and scope of the Semester Ticket. The AStA reports on current developments on its website.

Instructions for the Semester Ticket

Job Ticket

Employees in Bremen public service can receive a Job Ticket under the VBN tariff. Job Ticket holders can take with them an additional adult and up to 4 children under the age of 15 from Monday to Friday from 19:00 (within the requested fare zones) and on weekends and bank holidays throughout the day (across the VBN network). This does not apply to Job Tickets for apprentices (see section 2.5.8 of the Tariff Rules and Conditions of Carriage). The Job Ticket owners as well as the persons they are allowed to take them with them free of charge do not have to pay a night supplement (1 euro per trip), on BSAG, VBN or in “night owl” lines.
