HERE’S WHY – BIBA examines not just the product, but also the factory where it is made. The entire product life cycle is scrutinized, especially the production and logistics processes undertaken to manufacture the product, deliver it to the customer, and maintain it. The goal is to create modern, transparent, and sustainable production and logistics services that benefit society. To this end, we are involved in numerous projects dealing with the technological and organizational challenges that need to be solved in the context of Industry 4.0, with the possibilities of digitalization and the integration of people into the processes.

HERE’S WHY – BIBA is the oldest affiliated institute on the University of Bremen campus and is also celebrating its 40th jubilee in the university’s anniversary year. There was a close link between BIBA and the Faculty of Production Engineering in research and teaching right from the start. This special constellation has proved beneficial to both students and companies.
