A University for All: New Explainer Video on Anti-Discrimination Aims to Raise Awareness

A new explainer video from the University of Bremen explains what anti-discrimination means, how it manifests itself in everyday situations, and what policies are in place at the University of Bremen. The video is now available on the university’s YouTube channel.

The University of Bremen is committed to creating a learning and work environment based on fairness, solidarity, and mutual respect – acknowledging that this is a journey, not a destination. To this end, the Academic Senate (AS) of the University of Bremen adopted an Anti-Discrimination Policy in April 2024.

The video provides a clear and accessible overview of what anti-discrimination and discrimination mean, how they can be recognized in academic life, and what rules apply at the University of Bremen. It aims to raise awareness and provide guidance.
Beyond that, the video invites everyone to reflect on their own perspectives and aims to spark further discussion.

The video is for all students, teaching staff, employees, and everyone who wants to help create a discrimination-sensitive environment.
