The following courses and programs are available:

Intensive Language Courses in August and September

For anyone looking to improve their language skills fast during the lecture-free period, these crash courses offer the opportunity to complete entire course levels in just a few weeks. Many courses also meet the requirements to qualify as paid educational leave (Bildungszeit) in Bremen.
The courses begin in August and September. The program includes Dutch, English, French, German Sign Language, Italian, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Spanish, ranging from beginner to academic levels.

UNIcert® Certificates

UNIcert® certificates are particularly important for prospective students who must provide official proof of their language proficiency for university admission. Digital Programs of the YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) Alliance

Together with nine other universities from across Europe, the University of Bremen is part of the YUFE Alliance. Within this context, the SZHB will offer digital language courses and language cafés in English, Spanish, and German starting in September. These programs are open to University of Bremen staff and are free of charge. If you are interested, you can register here: https://virtualcampus.yufe.eu/p/courses/category/language-development

Peer Language Learning Program

A new program supports anyone who wants to learn independently at their own pace. In the peer language learning program, trained student guides help learners set personal learning goals and develop successful learning strategies.

Students from Around the World Visit Bremen

From August 3 to 28, over 90 participants from around the world will learn German at the International Summer School. In addition to participating in intensive German courses, the international students will also experience the local culture. The University of Bremen benefits greatly from the support of local residents, who provide accommodations for the international guests.
