Krause studied mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2019 and subsequently completed his doctorate there in 2024. He then conducted research for one year at the University of Duisburg-Essen, focusing on modern numerical methods in micromechanics. At the University of Bremen, he will take over the foundational teaching in engineering mechanics, guided by his enthusiasm for this field. He will also lead advanced courses in material strength, microstructural mechanics, and numerical mechanics.

His research focuses on numerical and analytical modeling of microstructures and micromechanics of complex materials. He investigates scale transitions in fiber composites, ceramics, and metals, aiming to bridge insights from materials mechanics with applications in structural mechanics.
