We want to find out how employees at the University of Bremen are getting on. This is essential for identifying specific sources of stress, as well as strengths, in the workplace. It will then enable us to develop tailored measures aimed at maintaining and promoting health and job satisfaction. In March 2018, all employees at the University were surveyed for the first time. A further survey will now take place in 2026. It is being organised by the workplace health management programme (BGM) and the ‘Mental Health Risk Assessment’ working group. You can access the employee survey here.
Promoting a healthy university culture is crucial, as it contributes significantly to staff well-being and the university’s success. It creates an environment in which staff feel valued and motivated. A good working atmosphere boosts creativity and productivity. It improves overall performance and reduces sick leave. A positive culture contributes to staff retention in the long term and also fosters innovation and the recruitment of new talent.
