Samira Ghozzi studied Islamic Theology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. There she completed a semester abroad at the University of Ez-Zitouna in Tunisia and completed her studies with a bachelor's thesis on the role of Muslim women in the poetry of Al-Andalus. In her masters at the Institute for Religious Studies at the University of Bremen, she dealt more closely with the role of religious representations in times of profound mediatization. In her master's thesis, she carried out discourse-analytical research on western constructions of the middle east in pop-cultural media. In this context, she examined a comic, cartoon and a video game by Tintin in the Land of Black Gold.
