Melissa Windler has been working as a research assistant in the Department of Educational Sciences (Prof. Dr. Karsten D. Wolf) since September 2020. She trained as a bank clerk from 2008-2011. Subsequently, she completed her Bachelor of Science from 2011-2014 and her Master of Education from 2014-2015 at the University of Hildesheim. In 2016-2018, Melissa Windler completed her doctorate on the topic of "Graph theory in primary school" within the framework of a doctoral scholarship. After her PhD, she worked as a PostDoc in the fields of Applied Educational Science as well as Business Administration and Operations Research at the University of Hildesheim.
