Vita

Since December 2017, Arne Gellrich works as a research assistant at in the field of communication and media studies at the University of Bremen, focusing on communication and media change history. He was previously employed on a short term contract at the Department of Communication Sciences (Multi-Mediated Communication) at Technische Universität Ilmenau.
In 2016, Arne graduated from the master’s programme in Religion in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University. His studies, which also encompassed courses at other universities such as those of Lund and Umeå, focused especially on the interdisciplinary discussion of social, communication, and religious studies. His thesis, entitled “…And Reconcile Us with Evil”, took a comparative discourse analytical approach to the portrayal of “good” and “evil” in Judeo-Christian tradition, cinematic feature films and political communication in the USA, Sweden and Germany.
In 2014, Arne graduated from the Bachelors programme in Peace and Development studies at Linnæus University in Växjö, Sweden.
