From June 22-24, the fourth international Dialogues in Data Power Conference will take place, this year both online and in person at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom, Carleton University in Canada, and the University of Bremen in Germany.

ZeMKI member Kerstin Radde-Antweiler, with co-authors Marta Kołodziejska, Łukasz Fajfer, and Dorota Hall, introduces the concept of "media settlers" to respond to trends and consequences of deep mediatization within studies on mediatization and religion.

ZeMKI member Prof. Christian Katzenbach and former ZeMKI member Prof. Christian Pentzold (now: Leipzig University) are guest-editing a special issue on "Automating Communication in the Digital Society: Contexts, Consequences, Critique“ in the leading journal New Media & Society.

The lecture will take place June 8, the first day of events at the re:publica 2022, from 13:15 to 13:45 on Stage 2.

On June 7 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Prof. Dr. Gurminder Bhambra and Prof. Dr. Shakuntala Banaji will speak about the aspirations and challenges of social science in (re)organizing the discipline with regard to continued colonialism.

The editors of the book are ZeMKI members Juliane Jarke, Leif Kramp and Andreas Hepp. The publication is part of the book series "Transforming Communications - Studies in Cross-Media Research" and is publicly accessible.
