Vita

From 1994-1997 Radde-Antweiler studied Protestant Theology at the Theological University of Bielefeld / Bethel and from 1997-2002 Evangelical Theology. From 1998, as a second degree in Comparative Religion at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. In 2002 Radde-Antweiler finished her studies with her Diplom thesis on "The Theory of Yahweh-alone movement 'in Ancient Israel: History of research and critical appraisal", after which she worked until 2007as a research assistant in the research project "Between Online Religion and Religious Online: constellations for ritual transfer medium in the Internet "at the Collaborative Research Centre 619 "Ritual Dynamics". In 2008 she obtained her doctorate in Comparative Religion on "Ritual-Design in recent Witch Discourses. Transfer processes and design forms of rituals on personal home pages”. In 2008 Radde-Antweiler moved to the University of Bremen, where she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Religion and Religious Education until 2011. Since 2012 she is assistant professor for the area of "Literature and Media of Religions" at the Institute of Religious Studies and Religious Education at the University of Bremen. At the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Sciences (ZeMKI) at Bremen University she is head of the Lab "media and religion."

Research interests

New Media (Focus Media Network Internet), receptions and transformations of biblical tropes in different media, Ritual Studies (ritual transfer, ritual design), actor perspective religion history, recent religions, especially the recent witch discourse
