The Journalism Network of the Leipzig University Society is organising the first major meeting of alumni generations on the Augustusplatz campus in Leipzig on 22 April 2023. As part of this meeting, Dr Erik Koenen will moderate a panel on the history of Leipzig journalism in the GDR. The topic is journalistic methodology in the GDR and how much ideology was in the genre teaching of Socialist Journalism.
