on 03 May at the Deutschlandradio Funkhaus and awarding of the Günter Wallraff Prize to Alexei Nawalny

The Initiative Nachrichtenaufklärung (INA) e.V. and the newsroom of Deutschlandfunk are organising the Cologne Forum for Journalism Criticism for the seventh time. The main topics this year are the future of radio and hate on the net. In addition, the Günter Wallraff Prize for Press Freedom and Human Rights will be awarded to the Russian civil rights activist Alexei Nawalny.

In this context, a panel discussion on "Hate on the Net", moderated by Brigitte Baetz (Deutschlandfunk), will take place from 15:40 to 16:50h. Participants are ZeMKI member Dr. Philip Sinner, Sawsan Chebli (SPD), Hasnain Kazim (journalist and author) and Roger Saha (RTL).

From 17:00h onwards, the Günter Wallraff Prize for Press Freedom and Human Rights will be awarded. This year's recipient of the prize is the Russian lawyer, publicist and civil rights activist Alexei Navalny. Georgy Alburov, an employee of Nawalny's Foundation for the Fight against Corruption, will receive the award on his behalf. Birgit Wentzien, editor-in-chief of Deutschlandfunk, will give the laudatory speech. Gerhart Baum, former Federal Minister of the Interior, will offer a political classification.

The entire event can be followed online via livestream and on the radio.
