Mediatization and Globalization
The Lab “Mediatization and Globalization” deals with current developments in media and communication, particularly with regard to issues of communitization and transcultural communication. This includes, on the one hand, a fundamental examination of the mediatization of culture and society, and on the other hand empirical research. The latter, for instance, includes a discussion of pioneer communities, transnational public spheres, everyday practices of media appropriation, datafication and deep mediatization.
