During the lecture period, guest lectures by (international) guest scientists are held regularly at the ZeMKI as part of the research seminar started in 2005. Once a year, the ZeMKI invites to an international conference on changing topics of the interrelated change of media, culture and society. In addition, ZeMKI members are regularly involved in the organization of national and international scientific conferences. In addition, the transfer of knowledge also includes various other event formats, in particular the ZeMKI Media Talks in cooperation with Radio Bremen (Bremen Zwei) and the annual International Bremen Film Conference in cooperation with CITY46/Kommunalkino Bremen. With the participation of all ZeMKI-Labs, these events are aimed at Bremen's citizens and make research activities accessible to a broad public. The regular participation in the Open Campus of the University of Bremen also serves this purpose.
