Melike Peterson ist seit September 2019 Postdoktorandin in der Arbeitsgruppe Stadtgeographie am Institut für Geographie der Universität Bremen. Von September 2015 bis April 2019 war sie Promotionsstipendiatin am Department of Geography der University of Glasgow, GB; im April 2019 wurde sie von der University of Glasgow mit ihrer Dissertation “Meeting Spaces: Spaces of multicultural encounter in Glasgow” promoviert.

Ihr Studium der Humangeographie und Raumplanung an der Universität Utrecht (Niederlande) schloss Melike Peterson im Juni 2015 mit Auszeichnung des Researchmasters ab. Von 2009 bis 2015 verfolgte Melike Peterson ihr Bachelorstudium der Internationalen Entwicklungsstudien an den Universitäten Wageningen (Niederlande) und Sabanci (Istanbul, Türkei).
