International Conference on Science Evaluation in Kiew

On June 27, 2019, an international conference on the evaluation of science will take place in Kiew at the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (NASU), jointly organised by the University of Bremen (working group of Jutta Günther) and the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the NASU.

The conference is part of the project "Eval-Science" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine.
In the year 2016, the Ukraine started to systematically evaluate the institutes of the NASU using a modified version of the evaluation procedure developed and applied within the Leibniz Association in Germany. The objective of the Eval-Sciene projet is to further develop evaluation indicators using quantitative and qualitative empirical approaches and to exchange experiences between Germany and Ukraine. In this context, the project team has constructively worked together with the Leibniz Association, organised joint meetings and workshops and recently summarised the Ukrainian experiences in a report. The conference will discuss results, challenges and future perspectives. For further information and registration to the conference, please contact Tobias Wendler.
