International Input-Output Workshop took place in Bremen

On March 15-16, 2018 the 9th International Input-Output Workshop took place at the University of Bremen,

organised jointly by the GWS (Institute for Economic Structure Analyses) Osnabrück, the University of Applied Sciences Bochum and the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics of the University of Bremen (working group of Jutta Günther). With nearly 70 participants from 16 countries, the workshop served as a platform of exchange between scientists, statisticians, and policy makers. Besides many scientific organisations, the Statistical Office of Germany was represented as well as the European Commission and the OECD. In total, 32 papers based on a call for papers and competitive selection were presented in parallel sessions. The keynote speeches were given by Erik Dietzenbacher from the University of Groningen on global value chain analyses and by Douglas Meade from the University of Maryland on new directions of the UN Input-Output Handbook. We thank all participants for their contribution to a productive and fruitful workshop.
The next Input-Output Workshop will take place in the year 2019 in Bochum.
