Introduction
YUFE is launching the 2026 RESEARCH RELAY edition to connect researchers in the alliance. The goal is to support the development of competitive proposals for Horizon Europe, particularly within Cluster 1- Health, Cluster 3- Civil Security for Society, and Cluster 5- Climate, Energy and Mobility priority areas. This event builds upon insights gathered from an internal survey, which showed strong interest from over 600 researchers across YUFE universities.
What to expect from Research Relay
- Collaboration in international, interdisciplinary teams
- Biweekly online training and group work
- Development of a Horizon Europe concept note
- And for a selected group, participation in the Summer School in Madrid
80 applicants will take part in the online phase, with up to 30 participants joining the on-site Summer School.

Before registering, we strongly recommend that you carefully read the Call for Researchers, and take a look at the proposed topics in Annex I of the Call to identify those that best match your interests and expertise.

Participants from the University of Bremen who get invited to the summer school in Madrid will receive Erasmus+ funding to support the costs.
