Zur Person

Dr. Ekaterina Vorobeva ist Postdoktorandin am LEMEX der Universität Bremen. Zuvor hat sie an Forschungsprojekten mit den Schwerpunkten Zwangsmigration, Transnationalismus und Unternehmertum von Migranten mitgewirkt. Ihre von den Marie-Skłodowska-Curie-Maßnahmen geförderte Doktorarbeit über das Unternehmertum von Migranten in Russland wurde 2024 an der Universität Bremen mit Auszeichnung verteidigt. In den letzten Jahren war sie als Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Harvard University (USA), der Universität Helsinki (Finnland) und der Marmara-Universität (Türkei) tätig. Dr. Vorobeva hat zahlreiche Beiträge in führenden Fachzeitschriften wie dem Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, International Migration, Diaspora Studies und Global Networks veröffentlicht.
