Workshop Description
As a researcher, you have exciting topics and a lot to say. Tell others about it! Communicate your science outside your scientific community. This can boost your reputation as a scientist and helps to increase trust in research.
But how to balance science communication between labs, talks and papers? Blog posts and press releases are a good solution here. While social media posts quickly disappear in the daily traffic, blog posts and press releases remain online for a long time and are easy to find.
But what makes a good blog post? When is a press release appropriate? What language to work with? In this workshop you will learn about blog posts and press releases as a form of digital science communication. You will receive input, start writing and get feedback. Completed blog posts can be published on the science blog of the University of Bremen.
