Dr. Maria Keil ist seit April 2025 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Arbeitsgruppe "Retail- und Logistikmanagement" von Prof. Dr. Matthias Klumpp tätig.
Im Jahr 2025 promovierte sie an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Der Titel der kumulativen Dissertation lautet „The Human Factor in Logistics: Physiological and Psychological Insights regarding Truck Drivers“. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen insbesondere in den Bereichen Logistik, Human Factors, Arbeits- und Gesundheitspsychologie sowie physiologische und psychologische Belastungen im Transportwesen.
Zudem ist sie seit 2008 Medizinische Technologin der Radiologie und beendete 2013 ein Diplomstudium der Gesundheitsbetriebswirtschaften, 2015 den B.A. in Wirtschaft und Management und 2018 den M.Sc. in Wirtschaftspsychologie. Weiter wurde sie 2012 von der Industrie- und Handelskammer durch eine Ausbildereignungsprüfung zur Ausbilderin zugelassen.
Sie war in der Zeit von 2009-2015 in der Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen in der neurofunktionellen Forschung tätig. 2015-2016 sammelte sie Erfahrungen als Projektmanagerin eines Krankenhauses und darauffolgend war sie 3 Jahre in der psychiatrischen Forschung beschäftigt. Vor dem Antritt in Bremen war sie im Bereich Forschung & Lehre der Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management, der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen und der Technischen Universität Darmstadt beschäftigt.
