Navel Logistik-Innovationszentrum Ngaoundéré

Gesamtziel des Vorhabens ist es, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Logistikteam um Professor Victor Tsapi an der Universität Ngaoundéré in Kamerun das Navel Logistik-Innovationszentrum Ngaoundéré zu initiieren, zu gestalten und zu implementieren.
Dieses Zentrum unterstützt und fördert die Generierung von Wissen und Erfahrungen über innovative Technologien und Organisationsmodelle sowie deren Transfer im Rahmen einer Auftragsforschung. Hierbei wird das Zentrum sowohl mit Groß- als auch mit kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen vor allem in Kamerun zusammenarbeiten, um eine wirtschaftlich und sozial nachhaltige Entwicklung voran zu bringen. Das Navel Logistik-Innovationszentrum ist in das Innovation Center of Excellence der Universität Ngaoundéré eingebunden, thematisiert aber insbesondere die ingenieurwissenschaftliche und betriebswirtschaftliche Logistik. Das Vorhaben wird die Netzwerke der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Verwaltung in der Logistik in der Region stärken, und Strukturen und Mechanismen der kulturell geprägten und regionalpolitischen Zusammenarbeit stärken, um Wissenstransfer, Marktinnovationen und Forschungsergebnisse besser nutzbar zu machen und in Kamerun und der Region Adamaoua umzusetzen.
Das Vorhaben bzw. das Innovationszentrum harmoniert vor diesem Hintergrund mit der Afrika-Strategie des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung, die Vernetzung von Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft zu stärken, um die Anwendungsorientierung der Forschung und die Verwertung von Forschungsergebnissen zu steigern und damit die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Afrika zu unterstützen. Das Zentrum wird nach dem Mbum-Wort des nahegelegenen Berges Navel benannt, um die enge Beziehung des Zentrums und seiner Mitwirkenden zur regionalen Kultur und Geographie aufzuzeigen.

Efficient and Green Logistics Management along the Maritime Silk Road
Despite the strategical important location of Zhengzhou within the Maritime Silk Road as in important multimodal logistics hub with the access to all transportation systems – railway
connections, highway connections, airplane connections and by this, connections to the major seaports of China, there is a lack of logistics courses at its biggest university Zhongyuan University of Technology. Furthermore, Zhengzhou is an important internatonal transport corridor to Germany and Europe, especially by railway and air.
Thus, the demand for the well-educated international logistics managers and the strengthening of the international collaboration is obvious for both countries. This was one of the reasons to found a joint international center in Logistics Management and Engineering (IRC-LOG) in March 2018 together with the German experts. In early 2019, the team of IRCLOG mutually agreed to reach following goals in the framework of the GreenSilk:
- Improvement of the courses of study in logistics management in the curriculum offer of the Zhongyuan University of Technology (ZUT) that are appropriate to the local context and correspond to the state of the art,
- Exploitation of new experience on the development cooperation, especially through the new international working group of IRC-LOG at ZUT,
- Enlargement of the subject-related academic network between project partners and beyond, reinforced by the international association of the “Asian-German Knowledge Network for Transport and and Logistics e.V".
