Joyce Salita promovierte im Fachbereich Biologie und Chemie der Universität Bremen. Seit 2011 arbeitet sie als Dozentin für Fachenglisch im naturwissenschaftlichen und technologischen Bereich. Sie hat Erfahrung in der Forschung und als Lektorin wissenschaftlicher Dokumente zur Veröffentlichung in Fachzeitschriften oder Einreichung bei Regulierungsbehörden. Sie war von 2010 bis 2022 in der Redaktion der europäischen Fachzeitschrift „Medical Writing“.  

Sprachvermittlung in den Bereichen Englisch als Wissenschaftssprache (Akademisches Englisch – fächerübergreifend, fachorientiertes Englisch für Naturwissenschaften und Ingenieurwissenschaften); Lernbegleitung und -beratung der Studierenden; Entwicklung, Organisation, Implementierung und Evaluierung von Testverfahren, Materialien und Zertifikaten
