The course will give an introduction to the German Legal System in general, covering its main branches of public, criminal and private law. The main emphasis of this introduction will be on the role and the function of the rule of law and the protection of basic rights as the core principles of the German Legal System, its historical development and its functioning in practice. The course is particularly suited for international students from all faculties.
