New developments in space geodetic techniques for a better understanding of our changing Earth

Different space geodetic techniques are combined to determine highly accurate and stable global terrestrial reference frames (TRFs). Global TRFs serve as the absolute basis for the relative-only geodetic measurement with the goal to better understand our changing Earth. The currently achieved accuracy of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame ITRF2020 does not fulfill the required accuracy as demanded by the Global Geodetic Observing System. This presentation will address potential improvements of the TRF by new developments and innovative combination strategies of the space geodetic techniques.
