LIFE - Innovative training on a module basis
The LIFE module study for working people
LIFE stands for innovative, flexible and successful learning. With LIFE you can take part in selected modules taken from the various study programs offered at the University of Bremen, sit for exams, and earn credit points. LIFE is aimed at working people, jobseekers and returnees. Do you want to keep up to date with the latest research in your field? Then you will take individual modules that fit your professional work priorities. Do you want to reorient your career or deepen your skills in a certain field? LIFE certificate programs bundle modules into a qualification profile.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. At present, the innovative module study LIFE is still in the test phase, for which special rules apply.

The project "konstruktiv"
LIFE was developed as part of a BMBF funded project called konstruktiv. The aim is in future to align studies and further education offers of the University of Bremen both didactically and organisationally with the diversity of educational biographies and goals.
To achieve this goal, the project wants to
- Develop flexible curricula based on modular kits
- Accompany and support individuals actively in the educational process
- Closely interweave education and professional practice and
- structurally anchor the opening of the University to new target groups.
