How Music and Play shapes the Mind of our Youngest
During the first months and years of life, the brain develops at an impressive rate. During this developmental stage, the foundations for cognitive abilities such as attention and language abilities are laid. The environment in which a child lives plays a decisive role in shaping this development. In “Baby-Denkimpulse,” we are particularly interested in finding out how various parent-child activities — such as making music and playing together — influence the development of thinking. This is what we are studying scientifically so that, together, we can better understand and support children's development.
