Vivid Internationalization

Young European Research Univesites

On March 27, the Members of the Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN) met for their biannual General Assembly in Antwerp. The network, which has been established a few years ago, is in consolidation after an active and vivid development phase. This shows itself in the many topics touched on during the discussion. It was resolved that an international non-profit organization under Belgian law would be founded. That way, the network gains legal autonomy. On a content-level, YERUN increases its visibility, is involved in many discussions at the EU level, and distinguishes itself especially in the open science debate.

The members appreciated that more and more joint projects are launched between some or all members. The network can now look onto thirty joint courses of study, and, just recently, an EU application has been submitted on the topic of joint doctoral programs.
