Showing at the Bremen State Representation: “Reaching for the Stars”

Bild der Veranstaltung "nach den Sternen greifen"

This has never happened before. The alumni association, together with the Weserbrücke association, hosted more than 50 people in the Bremen State Representation in Berlin – to have the shared experience of watching the talk "Reaching for the Stars” as it happened, streamed live from Radio Bremen’s studio. It was an exciting evening that also saw the forging of first contacts for new networks...

Sabine von der Recke, a new board member at the Bremen-based aerospace firm OBH System AG, moderated the evening. In his welcoming remarks, Bremen’s representative to the federal government, State Councillor Dr. Olaf Joachim noted that the University of Bremen’s students and alumni are also ambassadors for Bremen. "And so it is very fitting that at today's event in the Bremen embassy in Berlin, the university, Weserbrücke, the State Representation and the alumni have joined forces to not only celebrate the [university’s] 50th anniversary, but to continue to beat the drum for Bremen and the university." The showing was followed by exchanges and networking over wine from Bremer Ratskeller. This was not to be the alumni’s last activity in Berlin, where new networks were established and future activities were agreed on.
