The Institute for Electrical Drives, Power Electronics and Devices (IALB) is divided into two departments for scientific research and teaching. The research groups focus on Electrical Drive Systems (Prof. Dr.-Ing Amir Ebrahimi) and Electrical Engineering Components (Prof. Dr.-Ing Nando Kaminski).

M-Shunt-Team des IALB gewinnt den ersten Platz bei CAMPUSiDEEN 2025

The M-Shunt team from the Institute for Electric Drives, Power Electronics, and Components (IALB) at the University of Bremen took first place in the “Business Concepts” category at this year's CAMPUSiDEEN 2025 competition. The award ceremony took place on November 12 in the Kassenhalle am Domshof and honored outstanding start-up ideas from Bremen's higher education landscape.

The Chancellor of the University of Bremen, the Vice Chancellors, and the Chancellor's personal advisor visit the IALB.

On 11. September 2025, Chancellor Frauke Meyer and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Michal Kucera and Dr. Mandy Boehnke from the University of Bremen visited the Institute for Electrical Drives, Power Electronics and Devices (IALB).
