Olga Masyutina’s book review of “The Putin Paradox” by Richard Sakwa came out in the latest issue of Europe-Asia Studies. The book is a dense and comprehensive overview of the last three decades of Russia’s history where Sakwa expounds on Putin phenomenon and its logic. He shows how many contradictions of Putin's persona and political developments, both domestic and on the international scene, combine to form a unique regime type, the Putin paradox.
