Instrumental Analysis

The working group focuses on 
a) on the chemical ecology and chemical defense mechanisms of higher fungi.
b) the determination of the structure of organic molecules using spectroscopic methods.

The molecules are extracted from the fungi, and the structures of relevant compounds are determined.
Our work focuses on the fields of bioorganic chemistry, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC separatio), and structural characterization using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS).
