DAAD scholarship

Master’s scholarships for students from Ukraine as well as students from DAC member states fleeing the war in Ukraine

The Scholarship programme for students fleeing the war in Ukraine is a subprogramme of the programme “Development Related Postgraduate Courses”. It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and managed by the German Academic Exchange Service. Its goal is to provide Master scholarships to students who are nationals of the Ukraine or originate from a country of the DAC list and whose studies are interrupted because of the war in Ukraine. Scholarship holders are given the opportunity to take a Master's degree at a state or state-recognised German university to obtain a university qualification in Germany.

These scholarships are possible for the ISATEC study profile in the M.Sc. programme Marine Biology and the Online Application Portal is open for applications until 30th June 2022.

Please read the scholarship information.

Two years of working experience in a relevant field at the time of application is an advantage, but no must for this scholarship, which is intended for citizens of developing countries studying in Ukraine as well as students from Ukraine. The other preconditions stated below are in charge.

Preparatory German language course

A preparatory German language course of 2 months prior to the beginning of the MSc programme is part of the DAAD scholarship. In addition, an online German language course (DUO) prior to your departure to Germany is offered as part of the scholarship.
