Access for guests

The Zentrum für Netze offers the members of the University of Bremen several possibilities to give guests access to the university's IT services. External persons may only be invited for non-profit and official purposes in the interest of the University of Bremen. When creating accounts for guests, the work area, reason and duration of use must be specified.

Personal University Account

The personal Uni-Account allows access to all university IT systems and IT services, depending on access rights. The personal Uni-Account can be applied for by the guest via online application or personally in the ZfN account administration. For this purpose, the guest requires proof of their affiliation to the university from the host.

Furthermore, there is the possibility to create personal Uni-Accounts for several guests by importing a list. A list of names, first names, salutations and dates of birth is mandatory. For the exchange of data please contact the account administration.

Uni-Guest Account

University employees can create and manage guest accounts for a manageable number of guests using the guest access system. First the host must apply to the ZfN for access to the guest access system.

The Uni-Guest Accounts have a predefined account name and the duration is limited to max. 1 year. They can be used as access to IT services such as e-mail, WiFi, cloud storage, group administration system and Stud.IP.

Event Account

If your guests only need access to the university's WiFi for a maximum of 14 days, you can apply for event accounts. With this account, no other IT services/systems are available than the WLAN. The data transmission is not encrypted.
