    There are various types of requirements for central IT. We distinguish between issues that affect daily work at the workplace and those that involve major changes to our IT landscape.

There are two types of requests. The difference between them is described below, along with the ways in which requests can be made.

 

Service Request

Requests relating to your individual IT workstation,
such as:

  • Password reset
  • Workstation setup
  • WLAN configuration
  • Storage quotas

Demand Request

Changes to cross-departmental IT systems, such as:

  • Setting up new computer platforms
  • Network equipment for buildings
  • Introducing new software
  • Providing special signature methods

Procedure

Please describe the following points in the email:

→ Requester: Name, department, contact, supervisor

→ Category: e.g., support request, software, hardware

→ Urgency: High, Medium, Low

→ Description of request: Detailed description with screenshots or examples

→ Business benefit/goal: Why is the request important?

→ Affected systems or users: Who is affected?
 

Processing, including feedback, is carried out according to a defined process in Department 8.
