Institute of Commercial Law
The Institute of Commercial Law brings together the expertise of the Department of Law in the fields of commercial, corporate and business law. Research at the Institute focuses on the external and internal law of commercial enterprises. A particular focus of research is on issues arising from the Europeanization, internationalization and transnationalization of business and law.

Sponsoring Accociation for the promotion of commercial law at the University of Bremen
The sponsoring association was founded in June 2013 at the Chamber of Commerce (Haus Schütting) during the opening ceremony of the Institute of Commercial Law. The aim of the association is to promote the exchange between academia and practice. To this end, it regularly organizes lecture events with renowned speakers. Chairman of the association is Dr. Dirk Weitze-Scholl, LL.M.
