The Women's Representatives Collective of the Faculty of Law has compiled and acquired a collection on feminist law studies. Thanks to the support of the University library staff, the collection is now accessible via the SUUB Bremen catalogue.

The annual summer party of the Association for Infrastructure Law (VIR), took place on 24 June 2025, once again at Altes Fundament in the Bremen Viertel. Christian Maaß (Hamburg) held a lecture entitled „Vom ‚Heizhammer‘ zur ‚Bio-Treppe‘: Wie gelingt die Wärmewende?“ and Ms Sözdar Seker was awarded the prize for the best final paper in the field of specialisation „Climate - Environment - Sea“. A get-together with lecturers and higher-year students in the courtyard rounded off the party.

On the occasion of his 85th birthday, Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. em. Rolf Knieper was honoured with a Liber Amicorum at the Ivane Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi in Georgia on 4 June 2026. For the presentation of the Liber Amicorum, the editors organised a conference in which legal scholars from Georgia and other transition states as well as Germany participated.

From 4 to 6 June 2026, the Annual Conference of the Academic Society for Family Law (Wissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Familienrecht e.V.) took place in Bremen. The conference was organised in Bremen by Prof. Dr. Angie Schneider and Reinhardt Wever, former Vice President of the Higher Regional Court Bremen.

The German Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S), together with Prof. Dr. Lars Viellechner, will hold its fourth conference on the topic of “Time – Space – Emotion. Evolving Public Law” at the University of Bremen from 17 to 18 September 2026. The deadline for the call for abstracts and the works-in-progress workshop ends on 31 March 2026.

This year, the University of Bremen is participating in the PAX Moot for the second time and has once again made it to the oral phase of the competition. The PAX Moot is a student competition in the form of a simulated court hearing, in which universities from all over Europe compete against each other. The case focuses on issues related to the EU rules on private international law and international civil procedural law.

Research at international top level is carried out at Forum am Domshof - this is a result of the current Times Higher Education ranking where the Bremen Faculty of Law is listed among the top ten percent worldwide and takes first place among German universities.
